Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) Business Leaders Forum

Neak Oknha Kith Meng, President of Cambodia Chamber of Commerce (CCC) and Chair of ASEAN BAC 2022 delivered his Opening Remarks in the RCEP Business Leaders Forum on January 6, 2022 via virtual platform. The forum is co-hosted by China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), People’s Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China, East Asia Business Council (EABC) and Cambodia Chamber of Commerce (CCC). It was attended by leaders, businessmen, academics and relevant stakeholders from RCEP member countries.

The forum is organized to welcome the RCEP Agreement that had come into force on January 1, 2022 and to seize the great regional trade and investment brought by RCEP. It also aims to help enterprises make full use of related rules and policies, promote the integration of regional industrial, supply and value chains, and boost economic growth among its 15 member states. During the forum, Neak Oknha highlighted that RCEP participating countries will become the locomotive of global economy and play a prominent role in sustainable and inclusive socio-economic development in the Post Covid-19 era. He also stressed on the crucial role of the business community to discuss the significance and benefits of RCEP on regional economy, trade, and investment.
